How quickly things can change.

I am reaching out to you to let you know that as of tomorrow, Tuesday, March 17th, I will move forward with the online alternative for teaching lessons.

Until further notice, there will be no one-on-one lessons.

The online alternative will require a tablet or computer with a microphone and video capabilities. As of this time I will be using Skype or FaceTime.

Your lesson will be at the same time slot. If your current time slot does not work for online lessons let me know and we can arrange for different time slot.

I recommend verifying your connection on Skype of FaceTime the day of your lesson, before your lesson time, so we can troubleshoot any problems that may arise. You can send me a message so we can do a test run.

If you have any further questions do not hesitate to send them my way.

I appreciate your patience and understanding during this time.

Stay safe!

March 15, 2020

Hi everyone,

I am reaching out to you to let you know that as a precautionary measure, I am preparing an online alternative to in-person lessons to help contain the spread of COVID-19.

The online alternative would require a computer or tablet with a microphone and video capabilities and the app Skype. Your lesson would be at the same time slot.

At the moment, please plan to come to lessons as normal, unless you or an accompanying family member is ill.  When you arrive, I ask that everyone entering the house please thoroughly wash hands right away. You can use the washroom that is right off the waiting area outside the studio.

Emily and I have done a deep clean of the side porch area and the downstairs, and will be disinfecting surfaces daily, especially the piano.

This issue is of concern to me because of the close proximity I share with students and parents during a lesson, and where possible, I want to protect you as well as other students and my own family from possible exposure.

This is obviously a fluid and unprecedented situation, and I will continue to monitor guidelines provided by our local government to make adjustments to our plan as necessary.

I appreciate your patience and understanding as we navigate this issue together.

Please don't hesitate to contact me if you have any questions or concerns.

Best,

Paddy
